This will be a very short entry and a very short review of the said film.
I liked it. I liked it a lot.
Let me start by saying that this will be the first time that I will be making a review about a film so you maybe wasting your time for reading this because this will most probably be senseless and very biased. You can go and read someone else’s review now. Go!
You’re still here? All right then. Read at your own risk.
I have to get this out of my chest. One of the reasons why I liked the movie a lot is because Anne Hathaway is in it. I think she’s amazing and she always satisfies me with her acting skills. I actually have an immense crush on her. So there! When I learned that she will be playing Catwoman (which she was never called as such in the movie by the way), I’m already sure that I will be watching it and sure that I will be enjoying it. And I was right.
I told you this review will be very biased. Hahaha!
But I really liked her as the cat burglar aka Selina Kyle. I can now stop thinking of Halle Berry when I think of a catwoman. Hathaway, in my opinion, made more impact as catwoman to me than Berry. But then that’s probably just me crushing on Anne talking.

Enough about Anne, let’s talk about the others. Well, the others did good too.
That’s it. LOL.
Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman was ok. I don’t think he’ll win a best actor award for the role because there’s really no point in the movie to showcase what he can do.
I was very impressed with Michael Caine though. His portrayal of a very disappointed and hurt Alfred Pennyworth was very effective. There was this scene when Alfred and Bruce were talking that I almost shed a tear. I am so googling for more of his movies. Haha!

Tom Hardy (Bane) did what he could while wearing the mask. I don’t think he could have done anything else better with regard to his acting with that mask on. The fight sequence of Bane and Batman was one of my favorites.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt played a significant role in the movie. I remember him most for playing the guy in the movie 500 Days of Summer so my view of him totally changed. Gordon-Levitt plays the role of John Blake, a very nosy young police officer.
When I think of it, the movie actually was more of the other characters than it is of Batman himself which makes it so much more interesting.
In the end, the movie would give you this hope that another one would follow. We all know though that this is a trilogy, apparently, and this is the third one. This makes me sad. I won’t get to see Hathaway as Catwoman anymore. Unless they make a spin-off of Catwoman. Oh please do. Please please please!
The movie was very long (Running time:165 minutes) which I barely noticed because my best friend already warned me about it being long and because I enjoyed every single part of the movie. Another reason may also be because I kept on waiting for Anne Hathaway to appear on the screen. Haha!
I’ve read some reviews ranting about how the movie did not reach their expectations. Well, it’s either they have very high standards or mine is really low. But I liked the movie a lot. The only regret I have now is that I did not see the movie in IMAX. Will I watch the movie again? Absolutely! (In IMAX hopefully.) Does anybody need company? :D
